HALO Pet Rescue, Arizona’s largest no-kill Pet shelter is hiring at least 6 Pet Care Specialists for their main shelter located at 2500 S. 27th Avenue in Phoenix. HALO‘s Pet Care Specialists’ primary function is providing care for the 2 dogs and cats, and providing adoption counseling for potential adopters – their list of duties include:

· Cleaning kennels, cages and Pet housing

· Adoption counseling

· Entering and managing write-up in Pet database

· Administering medications and treatments

· Enrichment of pets through exercise, training and socialization

· Grooming including bathing, nail trimming and ear cleaning

HALO is looking for individuals along with a “solid job ethic, fantastic multi-tasking skills and the ability to perform at a high-degree along with exemplary professionalism in a dynamic, positive and customer-focused environment. . . Applicants need to be team-oriented and self-encouraged along with the ability to job independently while remaining consistently attentive to detail. Wonderful time management and organizational skills are vital as is some knowledge of MS Office. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.”

Compensation is $8.50-$10 per hour depending on experience. job hours are generally between 6am and 7pm. Pet Care Specialists are commonly needed to job weekends. Full time and portion time placements are available.
